One such PEB panel is finding wide applicaion in template climates, these PEB panels are being manufactured in India and its usage has found a good response in the market, namely, 'QUICKBUILD' a patented product.
PEB construction system was developed in Italy for their construction industry more than 30 years ago. It has now been in use in many countries of Europe, Middle East, China and Korea.
Structures and buildings built using these panels have been extensively tested for its structural strength by the CIvil and Structural Engineering Department of The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras.

QUIKBUILD — Modular Panels

The QuikBuild Construction System uses modular panels and accessories to build a frame for a structure. Concrete or Plaster is applied to these panels to finish the Structure.

The panels consist of
(1) Polystyrene Core
(2) Galvanised Wire Mesh – Two Outer Layer
(3) Galvanised Wire Trusses – Pierced through the Polystyrene Core and welded to each of the outer layer sheets of wire mesh.

(2.5mm Wire, 50x50mm Mesh, 50mm EPS Panel + 1” plaster both sides)
Self Load — 120 kg/m2
Load Bearing – 350 KN/m
Plaster Ratio — 1% Coat 15mm of 1:2:3 (chips mix — 100% of size < 6mm)
2d Coat 10mm of 1:5 (Cement/Sand only)

Roof Panel

(2.5mm Wire, 50x50mm Mesh, 80mm EPS Panel + 1” plaster + 3” concrete))
Self Load — 580 kg/m2
Load Bearing – 10 KN/m
Concrete Ratio — 1:2:4 (Chips mix – 50% of size < 18mm + 50% of size < 10mm)

Raw Materials

The main Raw materials for manufacture of Quikbuild panels are 1.High tensile galvanised steel wire and 2. Fire retardant Expanded Polystyrene foam.

1.Wire diameter :2.0 to 3.0mm
2.Tensile strength: 88 Kgs/mm2 +/- 10Kgs/mm2
3.Zinc coating :> 60 gms/sq.mtr
4.Steel spec: low carbon steel with Hot dipped Zinc coating.

Specification:
1.Density : 15 to 18 Kg/M3.
2.Grade: Fire Retardant.
3.Colour : Natural White.
